Core shareholder

BIH AG, a core shareholder of Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment AG, pursues a long-term business strategy. The controlling interest of BIH AG is held by Norbert Zimmermann, a successful Austrian industrialist who acquired SBO from ÖIAG in 1995.

SBO went public on EASDAQ in 1995 before it changed to the Vienna Stock Exchange in 2003. That step onto the Austrian stock market increased the liquidity and, with it, the attractiveness of the SBO share for foreign and domestic investors.

In 2005 SBO's capital was increased from MEUR 13 (13 million shares) to MEUR 16 (16 million shares). At the same time, core shareholder BIH AG offered 1.16 million shares via secondary public offering, driving the free float up to 69 % and attracting more attention for the company from international investors.

Since 2015, BIH AG is holding a share of approximately 33 %.

Norbert Zimmermann is Chairman of the Supervisory Board and represents the interests of core shareholder BIH AG.
